Accountability

Megann Willson & Steve Willson, the partners, are accountable for our Company’s compliance with applicable privacy laws.

How your Information is Used

The names of individual participants in Panoptika’s marketing research studies are never revealed to our clients, without the participant’s express written permission.  Study results are tabulated and presented to our clients in an aggregate format, segmented by groups such as province, region, professional specialty, or other demographic information.

Consent

Each respondent provides his or her consent to participate in our research study.  Consent is recorded within the main file for each specific project.

Limiting Collection

The collection of personal information by Panoptika Inc. on behalf of our clients is limited to that which is appropriate and reasonably necessary for the stated purpose of the study. 

Limiting Use, Disclosure, and Retention

Panoptika does not disclose personal information other than for our clients’ intended use, in conjunction with a specific project.  Such information is maintained only as long as is necessary for the individual client’s purposes.  Individual names are never released to clients without the respondent’s express, signed permission.

Accuracy

Panoptika takes specific steps to ensure that information collected on behalf of its clients is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.

Safeguards

Panoptika has implemented physical, organizational, and technological measures to protect the information in its custody.

Openness

Panoptika is committed to making specific information about its privacy policies, practices and procedures readily available to individuals upon request.

Individual Access

Panoptika will provide a respondent, upon request and with permission from the associated client, with a summary of the purposes for which information in Panoptika’s custody or control has been gathered.  Information will be provided subject to the removal of information about other individuals and subject to legal or contractual constraints.

Challenging Compliance

Panoptika will investigate and respond to any complaints received.
